We feel blessed to welcome this little baby girl into our family. Mom and baby are happy, healthy and doing well.

Big brothers are the best!

We are home now and so grateful for the help of visiting family and all the words of congratulations we have received.

Some aches, some friends & a whole lot of fun!

I didn't sleep very well last night. I've been doing pretty well at night overall, minus needing a crane to roll over now. I have to wake up to roll over and that happens at least once in the middle of the night.(last night, Oh, like 7 times!) I do know that waking up a few times at night is really quite blissful compared to several middle of the night feedings so although I complain, I am enjoying my last few weeks of sleeping freedom despite the aches and pains. Ah, the end of pregnancy is a fun time. I can't believe we are getting so close to the end.

Then I take a look at this picture and realize, wow, we are almost there! My last doctors appointment was Thursday and baby seems happy and healthy! Although maybe a bit reluctant to come yet. I have been having a lot of contractions, mostly Braxton Hicks but occasionally real ones slip in and remind me we're almost there. I am progressing but fairly slowly at this point. We'll see where things are at my appointment next week but until then I am going to try and finish getting ready. For baby, for company, for holidays, all of the above! It's crunch time. So, you stay put little lady. Give me 1 more week and then we'll see if I'm ready. HA HA!

We had the lucky privilege of having our friends come into town for a visit. A few of Ryan's dental school buddies came by to take a continuing education course this last week at MCG and lucky for me, they brought their wives! Oh how I love these girls! They made a normally dull and long week of Ryan being gone all the time, really fun! It passed almost too quickly! The husbands were gone all day and usually not home till 7 pm or later(welcome to my world) But that gave us a lot of time to catch up on the last year since we all moved to separate places. I hope the girls got the southern experience they were hoping for, despite the fact we had to work around kids schedules and such. A few of the things we did:

-Ate good food: Gee, how southern of us. Grits, fried green tomatoes and more! So much more!
-Took a tour of a Historic Southern Plantation, Redcliffe Plantation, just over the Savannah river in South Carolina.

(Don't be mad Michelle, this was too fabulous not to include! You look great!)

-The girls spent a day in Savannah, Ga. Which is about 2-3 hours away from Augusta. I didn't want to hinder their trip with 2 crazy kids and a 37 week pregnant woman! So, I sent them off with the sights I thought they should see the most and I think they had a good time. -Shopping. At a few boutiques by the Masters golf course and at the local mall.

-Dinner out a few times & a movie. It wouldn't be the same without a girls night.

-Time talking and laughing.

It all made me realize just how great is it to have good friends. I miss you already.

-A conversation I had with Sam yesterday:

Sam: "When is the baby coming out Mom?

Me: "I don't know, but soon."

Sam: "Mom, you have to stay very still so the baby can come out."

Me: "Really?" I stop what I am doing and stay 'very still'

Sam: "Oh Mom, can I watch the baby come out?!"

Me: Thinking, Oh dear! "Do you know how the baby comes out?"

Sam: "No, but I bet you have to be very still."

Me: "Ya, I'll work on that."
