Fall Fun

Sunday, October 12, 2008

The first weekend in October we went to a local farm where they had fun fall activities for the family. We went with my friend Michelle and her son Eli, who is Sam's best friend. We had a fabulous time! There was a little petting zoo, a hayride, corn maze and a pumpkin patch where you picked your own pumpkins.

The boys spent some time poking bunnies in the eyes and talking to cows while we waited for the hayride.
A friendly barn cat came and made friends with them, which is hard to do because you have to be willing to let them poke and pull at you to be friends with Sam and Eli. But, despite all this, the cat remained, a true friend.
The boys loved the huge tractor tires!

We rode to a corn maze and after making our way through the maze we picked pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. Sam picked out his and then was adamant about picking out Russell’s. We put the pumpkins on our front porch and everytime we leave or come home Sam greets the pumpkins, “Hi, pumpkin, bye pumpkin!” I think he is going to love carving them this year!
